A Chic Year in Review

Looking back over 2012, it has been a big year for both of us – on and off Shop Me Chic.

Behind the scenes, Sonia has been busy planning a wedding and renovating her home (not to mention living without a bathroom or a kitchen!) and Melinda has been raising her boys and most recently, moving to North Queensland.

For the both of us, Shop Me Chic has been a huge labour of love that we have watched grow since our launch in February. We have published almost 200 posts, received over 1200 comments and watched our stats grow each month but more importantly, we have shared our journey with our wonderful readers and have loved having you all along for the ride.

We have held giveaways, shared our favourite products each month, given you a sneak peek into the wardrobes of bloggers we love, borrowed outfit inspiration from celebrities and just recently, taken on two Shop Me Chic contributors to bring you more content and variety.

For now, we are shutting down our laptops and easing up on our Pinterest pinning to take a two week break. In the meantime, you’ll still find us around Facebook and Twitter.

Before we leave, we wanted to give you a small idea on what you can expect in the new year when we return in 2013:

  • A brand new series on blogging as a duo that we will be bringing to you each Saturday.
  • A little name change to Get Her Chic (you’ll have to tune in next year to find out what it is!)
  • A little more of us. We love showing the wardrobes of bloggers we love each month but next year, we want to show more of our personal style to you as well!
  • More giveaways!
