Shop Her Chic: Rosemary from Lashes and Lattes

February 6, 2013 in Fashion

Welcome to another month of Shop Her Chic! Today we have the sweet, bubbly and beautiful Rosemary from Lashes & Lattes…

Hi, my name is Rosemary, I’m the Editor of Luxury Weddings and Modern Hair+Beauty magazines. I’m also a writer, blogger and sometime stylist. My little corner of the blogging world is www.lashesandlattes.com. I’m a makeup addict, fashion lover, completely obsessed with eyebrows and I’m mostly powered by caffeine.

You can find me on: Twitter // Facebook // Instagram // Pinterest.

My personal style is somewhere between polished vintage, minimalist contemporary and boho beach babe. I have a number of warring wardrobe personalities and it depends what kind of mood I’m in and what I’m doing that will dictate what I end up wearing. My wardrobe is a combination of thrifted finds, high street, designer investments and inherited vintage. I love being comfortable, so I tend to go for clothes that are either very well made, or half a size too big.

I’m quite lucky in that my office is fairly casual. We can generally wear what we feel like. I love silk shirts, pencil skirts and for a softer look on Fridays I go for jeans or leather pants with a beautiful soft cotton tee or cashmere sweater.

I have a wardrobe that’s almost half full of dresses and playsuits. I mean, who doesn’t love a great dress? It’s an outfit in one. Throw it on, decorate on some jewellery and you’re golden!

This outfit is favourite lately. For one, it’s tangerine/orange. (Major obsession right now.) Secondly, it’s really soft cotton (it hits the comfort factor straight up), the waist falls just below my bust (otherwise known as an empire line, which is very flattering for every body shape) and since it has a little sleeve it is perfect for the office, brunch with the girls or even dressed up for drinks.

I’ve teamed it with a pair of neutral wedges from Lipstik Shoes (neutral shoes are a must-have for any wardrobe, they elongate your legs and go with anything, I have about four pairs on high rotation right now), two delicate gold necklaces, one heart and one horseshoe for luck (another obsession, I love little gold charms on fine chains. They’re especially good for layering), two statement rings from Spell Byron Bay – a quartz crystal and stag amulet. I shop at Spell constantly, as their bohemian, dreamy aesthetic really calls to my inner gypsy.

Finally, I’ve chosen a nude clutch from Colette by Colette Hayman with a giant golden clasp, which really ties the look together from top (gold necklaces and rings) to toe (nude shoes). I love to wear a dress as the feature and just add a few accessories here and there… really letting the main piece speak for itself. This is a super fun outfit and there’s nothing you couldn’t do in it.

Here is our take on Rosemary’s outfit:

1. Rhythm In Stitches Dress from The Iconic ($89.99) // 2. Aurelie Bidermann Wild West Ring from My Theresa ($195.00) // 3. Metallic Knot Oversized Clutch from Colette ($29.95) // 4. Abbey Wedge in ‘Sand Micro’ from Verali Shoes ($24.95) // 5. Gorjana Viceroy Necklace from Shopbop ($49.80)

We don’t know about you but we think Rosie just rocks orange!

Stay Chic,

Melinda & Sonia x
