Celebrity Chic: Gwen Stefani

Welcome to another Denim Day here on Shop Me Chic!
We’ve had a couple of singers featured previously in our Celebrity Chic posts (the fabulously Bootylicious Beyonce and everyone’s Teenage Dream Katy Perry), and now it’s time for another pop superstar to make their debut.
Today’s Celebrity Chic is…Gwen Stefani.
There’s No Doubt (hehe, geddit?!) that Gwen has an uber cool punk rock vibe to her, but it’s also a Sweet Escape (man, I’m on fire!) to see her playing mum to her adorable boys Kingston and Zuma. And here she is combining both worlds – recording the new No Doubt album while also caring for her sons.
This is such a fabulous and on-trend outfit in one of my favourite colour combinations – grey and black. I love that the leopard jeans have a subtle print to make them just different enough to a plain pair of grey jeans. Add a relaxed tee and black blazer, chuck on some black ankle boots and a black hat – and Hollaback Girl (OK I’ll stop now), you’ve got yourself a number 1 hit outfit!

The black blazer really is a wardrobe staple, and as Paula Joye of LifeStyled points out:
“Black, nipped shoulders, skinny arm, falls below your bottom, single breasted??? Do you own a blazer like this? The Boyfriend, the Long Line, the Slouch- they go by many names and having at least one in your wardrobe is a must. A must I tell you.”
I’ve chosen a t-shirt with a great print to break things up a bit and flat boots to make the outfit a little more run-around-after-the-kids-or-husband-or-both friendly. So What You Waiting For (no really, that’s the last one) – get your Gwen on!
